ATO is an easel design inspired by Japanese simplicity. The body is constructed with strong powder-coated metal rods that are welded. This design is simple enough to be assembled on-site. The pegs for supporting the canvas are made by woodturning with teak.
Collaboration with Shivam Bhatkande.
1.
11 mm mild steel rods were cut and grinned to the desired length.
2.
MS rods were forged to make the circular loops with will help to hold the canvas along with the wooden pegs.
3.
MS pipe was used to create a simple hinge mechanism for foldability.
4.
MS rods were welded together for a filleted and seamless intersection.
