Throughout my other works, I have this tendency of keeping a very literal translation of the real into art. But also with that realism, there is an element of the abstract that comes through the placement, context and sometimes juxtaposition. Therefore, I wanted the richly detailed surfaces from the references to be in the final outcome and I really felt that the imperfections added significantly to the concept. I had this idea of bringing the urban landscape indoors and in a way scaling it to make people notice it and appreciate it more. This scaling will allow the landscape to be more approachable and appreciatable, so I decided to convert this concept into digital sculptures. The graphical elements are drawn from the urban areas of Ahmedabad city, my home town. These murals, solely created for advertisement, now contribute towards generating a specific urban aesthetic, and directly reflects societal behaviour.
